Human non-small cell bronchoepithelial carcinoma cell line A549 grown in F12-K medium supplemented with 10% FBS and 4mM penicillin and streptomycin. After 24 hours the medium was replaced with F12-K containing 10% CT-FBS, 4mM penicillin/streptomycin and a mismatched synthetic DNA-binding polyamide (normally targeting the consensus sequence of the glucocorticoid receptor element and binding the glucocorticoid-induced zipper GILZ).
